Innova Energy's President, Mr. Nima Ghazi, has been leading the strategic growth and management of multinational engineering project teams, comprised of highly skilled technical and commercial personnel, for about 20 years, with a total projects value of well exceeding $20 Billion US Dollars. As an award-winning energy executive and a seasoned principal engineer with a proven track record in both energy transition and conventional energy projects, he is a published author in the Journal of Pipeline Engineering and a frequent presenter and board member at various prestigious global hydrogen, CCS, and energy pipeline conferences and conventions.
He has led the international development of some of the pioneering hydrogen and CCS initiatives in the industry. He is certified as a Hydrogen Consultant Specialist by the Renewable Energy Institute, has been involved in Carbon Capture & Storage projects since 2010, and his published dissertation in Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS/CCUS) and CO2 Pipeline Systems has received international recognition. He has extensively worked as a materials and welding/NDT engineering specialist on major energy projects. He has authored, co-authored, revised, and over-seen dozens of engineering specifications of some of North America's leading energy companies. He is a specialist contributing member of a number of the American Petroleum Institute (API) and Canadian Standard Associations (CSA) committees and Task Groups concerning Hydrogen and CCUS energy systems.
He has been awarded a number of international engineering awards, including prizes from UKOPA (United Kingdom Onshore Pipeline Association), TD Williamson (for Dissertation work on CCUS systems / CO2 Pipelines), engineering design award from Eni - Saipem Snamprogetti, etc.
As a certified Hydrogen Specialist (REI), he holds a Masters degree in Oil and Gas Pipeline Engineering (Distinction) from Newcastle University (UK), an MBA (Hon.) from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Toronto (Canada). Nima has worked, lived, and studied extensively in the UAE, Canada, USA, United Kingdom, and France and supports clients globally.
